Wigwam Creative Collective – Artist Community

Wigwam Gallery is a creative artist run space at The Ceramics Studio in Ettington Park, Warwickshire.

Wigwam has a collective philosophy and is gathering momentum as it draws more local creative people to join in.

We are a mixture of full time artists, creative professionals and other passionate volunteers.

Our aim is to make art & craft in a communal and accessible environment, to show original work and to promote our open minded and collaborative approach to creativity.

Opportunity

A three month residency at The Ceramics Studio, days and terms negotiable.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative individual to help build our community and gallery space.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with their own practice as the role includes displaying & promoting their own work along side the work of others.

There is also a small work space and access to all the ceramics facilities.

Other benifits include working in a beautiful enviroment with a very happy and positive team of people.

Duties Include:

Maintaining our small gallery area. Re-arranging, dusting, labelling.

Selling, taking payment and wrapping art work.

Finding and talking to other artists about what we offer.

Help to organise one social event per month, often in the evenings and occasionally on a Sunday.

Running the social media for Wigwam and communicating about promotion and events with other members.

Ideal Candidate would be...

Friendly and out-going.

Already have a regular art practice.

Be able to work on your own work in the studio at least once a week.

Be able to work one paid day per week on Wigwam duties listed above.
