Throwing is a wonderfully therapeutic hobby and so satisfying when you make progress.

Throwing is a difficult skill to master therefore so rewarding when you become competent. The good news is that we have a tried and tested formular to make you a good thrower in a relatively short amount of hours.

We are confident to boast about our method because we have dozens of members who now make very beautiful wares and own the entire ceramic process, you can read their stories here & here.

Teaching people throwing is my reason to get out of bed! That sounds a bit OTT but there is nothing more rewarding than seeing peoples delight as they make progress with this spinning mud challenge! I have been teaching throwing since 2003 and am always building on my delivery - Leyla Folwell

Learning to control the shape and perfect the surface.

We have a couple of routes, a fast and slower option, deciding which boils down to budget, availability (yours and ours) and how much time you have to dedicate to it.

The faster you learn the less you forget between each foundation class.

Many choose to add Leyla’s Videos Throwing Course to benefit from learning, support and re-capping in between practice sessions.

Being sure:
