Well here at The Ceramics Studio we can help you put those demons to one side.

We have designed a workshop with you in mind. It’s called Kit and Caboodle. In this workshop we share techniques and tips about how to start making your own pottery at home. We’ve put together a kit that contains all the tools and equipment you need to get started, including clay and decorating slip.

The workshop takes on a very practical approach to ensure you have information about how to look after your clay, use the tools and materials in the kit, construction tips and techniques and care of your clay projects as you make them.

You can purchase one of our kits, take it home and start making your own handbuilt pottery at your own pace and if you wish you can return it to us for firing; we do have a firing charge. We are available for support and advice and you can get “top up” clay and slips and templates to continue with your own creative pottery journey.

This first step may take you further as working with clay can become addictive! Once you have the pottery bug who knows you may feel you want to go on to do more projects, extend techniques, skills and knowledge.
