The Ceramics Studio Classes

The Ceramics Studio pottery classes are open to everyone. Whether you’re a novice or professional and whether you’re looking for a one off taster or a more regular course to hone your skills – we offer something for everyone.

All of our classes are delivered in a relaxed and creative environment at our tranquil studio in Warwickshire, on the edge of the Cotswolds. With a maximum class size of 10, equal focus is given to learning skills, creative development and giving each individual space to carve their own pottery experience. Our approach to teaching is friendly, simple and open with a relaxed and informal environment allowing all students to follow their own preferences. We offer demonstrations and tuition in all the basic building skills: coiling, slabbing, press moulding and of course throwing, but we are also more than happy to leave you to explore the clay on your own and guide you when you seek advice.

What makes The Ceramics Studio classes different is our small group size and how we encourage individuality. We have created a space for you to explore as many sides of ceramics as you wish, and always give you the freedom to choose what suits you most. Leyla’s informative but informal teaching style ensures that you are always learning but in a manner that unfolds with your preferences. If you’re interested in our classes, we offer a number of different sessions and ways to book; find out more below! Or do get in touch if you’re interested in a private one-on-one session or a group activity.

"My ceramics class takes the stress out of life, a totally absorbing and relaxing experience! I love it!"

- Sue, Newbold-on-Stour

The Ceramics Studio Pottery Classes

Autumn Term

14th September - 12th December

Weekly Pottery Classes

Our regular pottery classes are perfect for people wanting to make a commitment to a regular creative hobby. These classes are suitable for all levels and all pottery styles; whether you want to learn about hand building techniques, throwing or surface decoration. Individuality is encouraged and throughout the term you will be able to try your hand at as many or few techniques as you would like. To see what previous students have created, have a gander at our Facebook page. Classes are either 2 or 3 hours long.

We offer a number of booking options depending on your ability to commit, allowing for flexibility and value for money. You can either buy individual classes, allowing you to pop in more spontaneously or buy a package of 10 classes, with a block booking discount. As our terms are 13 weeks long, you can choose which sessions suit your schedule and therefore never have to feel like you’re missing out when duvet days come calling! But if you can’t get enough of us, then you can always top up your package with individual classes and attend the whole term!

Below is a list of the current sessions for this term, all that we ask is that you commit to a certain time slot as this ensures we can guarantee a small class size.
